So... little update on my stuff...
PROJECT: PHOENIX
Less than a month to shoot! I've been writing the series scripts. Working on the finale script right now. Just locked up our soundstage today. It's perfect and we can get a lot of use out of it.
I CAN NOT WAIT till you see what Lee Meriwether does... it's going to be super cool.
Starting the casting process for some of the new leads. I can't wait to get started. Next week begins all the fun of dealing with insurance, SAG, and websites and trying to shoot 5 episodes on $8,000. (Ah, new media...)
GROOM'S CAKE
I didn't even announce we WON Best Short Narrative Film AND Audience Award for Best Narrative Short Film at the CNKY Film Scene in Cincinnati! We did really well in Philadelphia. We didn't win (our first non-win at a festival), but I was told by someone who was there who saw our film that several people booed when the winner was announced. I'll take a "boo."
Everyone keeps asking, "what's next!?"
We will play Palm Springs next month and I can't announce it yet, but there's another big one in my favorite city coming up in early October. Don't have the dates for Palm Springs, but VERY excited to have a lot of the cast attending.
And side note, tonight, my "husband" Rib Hillis got married! Yay Elena and Rib! (Totally stole that photo from Krissy's FB page...)
LIZARD PEOPLE
So excited about this. I scouted our hotel in Palm Springs. Hoping to shoot in mid-November. Still actively looking for investors. We already have Jesse Archer and Leslie Jordan attached.
We have scripts out to George Takei and Richard Chamberlain and I'm REALLY hoping Robert Gant attaches. I've been wanting to work with him for years and it's a great part for him. But the man is busy. (So this is me putting it out into the universe... secreting on my Typepad wall... whatever works...)
In fact, we will be throwing our GROOM'S CAKE party at the same resort next month.
HELL HOUSE
The project that will not die... I don't think I can announce (I should check on that) but an old school horror producer is now on board. He created one of the biggest horror franchises of all time. About a guy who wore a mask. Didn't like like campers out by a lake... usually on a particular day... They're still looking for a bit more funding and I'm hoping we'll be shooting in Atlanta in the fall.
X-RATED
THE PORN BRAT PACK (aka JOEY STEFANO) is NOW known as X-RATED. We had several issues with investors afraid of the word "Porn" in the title. Still looking for investors. Hoping to be shooting early next year.
And no... we still don't have a "Joey Stefano." So don't ask. But I did get to pay my respects at his grave while I was in Philly last month. Very peaceful. Unmarked. Sad.

New. Can't talk about it. Not my idea. Really excited to start writing it.

We pitched to WME and they loved it. They are setting up meetings soon. Please watch Sean and Todd's show GRIMM! It premiered Season Two last Monday!
