My church, Hollywood United Methodist, did a build with Habitat for Humanity. We were a small group, but had a great time. Apparently it was hot, but I was so dirty and sweaty that the heat didn't bother me. I was covered in sawdust and dirt. It took ten minutes to get clean.
These are the pics (stole them from Michael Kelley). The group pic and the finished house was the ribbon cutting and dedication for a finished home (that's what ours will look like).
Me with power tools and saws all day. It was a sight to behold. The Habitat people are awesome. They teach you and are VERY patient and encouraging. I never thought I would be putting up a wall or having to support beams.
