12 of 12: SEPTEMBER - One Week Warning

September 12th is one week away.  The NINTH round of 12 of 12.  Please tell your friends.  We had 57(up one from July) last month! 

I'm open to suggestions on the 13th bonus pic.

If you are new to 12 of 12 - here are the basics:

1) ALL PHOTOS MUST BE TAKEN ON THE 12TH OF EACH MONTH.

2) After you post your pictures onto a webpage of your choice (Livejournal, typepad, MySpace, Flickr, etc...) please post the TIME, LOCATION, and A SMALL COMMENT in the pic.

3) You own the rights to all of your pictures.  The idea "12 of 12" is mine.  While credit is not necessary, please don't credit someone else with the idea.

4) The original concept was at least one body part in the picture.  That idea was slowly faded away.  The important part is that it is 12 pics.

5) The monthly Bonus pic is a 13th picture and is optional.

6) When referring to the project, please refer to it as "12 OF 12" - not "12 ON 12."

7) Once completed, please e-mail or post the PERMALINK of the post AND the city and state or city and country of WHERE THE PICTURES WERE TAKEN.  (If you are on vacation, it's where the pics were taken.)

(The permalink is the link to the ENTRY of your page.  If you just send me your website, I have to track it down.  By listing the permalink, it helps for people to go back and view your previous 12 of 12 entries from previous months.)

ANYONE is welcome to join in, even if you've never done it before!  I hope you will.

It is the day after the 5 year anniversary of 9/11. I guess that is the DC person in me -- but having lived through it here, it is totally on my mind.

Fall or school sounds great. My idea was the figure 'nine' as in September. Could be anything 9 o'clock, 9 pcs. of something, or ... I don't know.

Ok, I am 'with' the 9's or something to do with 9/11. I totally enjoy 12 of 12. Maybe for a future bonus pic: 1. Picture of a personally known pet (your own, a friends, etc.) 2. Picture of your favorite shoes.
I know, I get weird ideas like this sometimes! Catches me by surprise, too!

Living in NYC, I'm already tired of all the 5th anniversary stuff. Before I get flamed, I'm not discounting it. I'm just saying it gets old after a while.

some ideas for the bonus pic:

-fall (not necessarily school, because not everyone is involved in that)

-inspiration (for anything, regarding anything)

-photography/cameras (this is a photo essay afterall! so people could be creative showing what/how they take pictures)

-internet/computers (a photo essay on the web, nonetheless..)

-temperature or weather (you've had time, and color, so kind of along that line)

-gas prices or types of travel

whew..lots of ideas!
